Actor Sam Milby clarified news reports that he and former girlfriend, actress Anne Curtis, have reconciled. He also said that they never shared a passionate kiss during the farewell party of Dyosa."Hindi kami nagkabalikan, like I've said, magkaibigan lang kami, we are a lot better that way," said the Fil-Am actor.
A couple of weeks ago, Dyosa Director Wenn Deramas said that Sam and Anne ‘kissed all night’ and were very sweet during the show’s farewell party. At the recent press conference of Pop Icons (which includes Piolo Pascual, Christian Bautista, Erik Santos and Mark Bautista) Sam explained his side of the story: "It was late in the night, medyo konti na 'yung tao and then they started playing 'yung theme song ng Dyosa and then we (Sam and Anne) started dancing together, sweet dance. Parang cheek-to-cheek. We were hugging each other." But he said that they never kissed passionately like what the rumors claim. "Hindi kami nag-kiss. We weren't kissing. I would like to see the pictures kasi hindi totoo 'yon. There are no pictures eh, so meaning hindi kami nagkabalikan. If there was a kiss, it was a friendly kiss but there was no kissing na I mean, we were kissing all night, walang ganon. Sweet dance lang ang nangyari," Sam explained.
Since his version is different from that of Direk Wenn's, the director allegedly got mad at Sam because his denial made him appear like a liar. But Sam was quick to say that he and Direk Wenn have already talked. Sam shared, "Sabi niya (Direk Wenn) sa akin na he heard it from other people actually. So there was a misunderstanding. But I'm not denying it kasi hindi nangyari. Hindi siya nangyari." Sam said that even though he still has feelings for Anne, both of them are content with being friends for now.
Meanwhile, Sam will join Piolo, Christian, Erik and Mark in a one night concert at the Araneta Coliseum on February 21. The Pop Icons will also be performing in Dagupan on February 13, Cebu on February 14 and Bacolod on February 28. The concert will be directed by Rowell Santiago with Louie Ocampo as the musical director.
