He’s not even dating anyone at the moment. ini-enjoy muna raw niya ang pagiging single. It’s not that takot daw siyang magmahal muli, kaya lang ayaw lang muna niya na ma-ki-pagrelasyon. Hindi kaya ayaw lang muna niyang palitan si Anne sa kanyang puso? Hindi man daw sila in constant touch ni Anne dahil pareho silang busy. Kasalukyang nasa Sotuh Korea noon ang buong cast ng bagong primetime series ng Only You nang lumabas ang balita na na-offend daw si Sam Milby nang tawagin siyang "little boy" ng kaparehang si Angel Locsin. Agad ding lumabas ang paliwanag ng aktres na wala siyang masamang ibig sabihin nang tawagin niyang "little boy" ang leading man dahil ang pinatutungkulan niya raw rito ay ang pagiging "inosente" at pagiging "childlike" ni Sam. Sa panayam ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) kay Sam last Sunday, April 26, sa dressing room ng ASAP '09, ay hiningan namin siya ng reaksiyon tungkol sa lumabas na balita. "Everyone calls me 'little boy.' Si Ate Rica [Peralejo] was the one who called me 'little boy' paglabas ko pa lang in PBB [Pinoy Big Brother] house. Nagtu-tour kami before sa Heartthrobs, she called me 'little boy.' It's not naman I'm offended, but it's something I want to grow out off, magtu-twenty five na ako, 'Little boy si Sam o!' I think I'm maturing a lot the last years, I gained a lot of seriousness. It's just I want to have fun, it's not always so serious, I just want to be positive. "If being innocent and childlike is part of being little boy, of course, it's very flattering, I hope people will look at me as a humble person, hindi suplado. Pero ayoko na when you say 'little boy,' people will look at you as childish, pasaway, or batang-isip. E, hindi naman ako batang-isip." AWKWARD MOMENT. Sa interview ni Direk Rory Quintos sa presscon ng Only You, nabanggit niya na mas "awkward" pa si Sam kesa kay Angel nang kunan ang kissing scene at love scene nila sa Korea. Totoo ba ito? "Yung first scene na shinoot ko was kissing scene agad, though yung kissing scene, smack lang. Itong love scene naman, first week of the soap yata mapapanood. I know Angel naman very well, but not to the level na sobrang close. It was different that we haven't been working that long, tapos the first scene pa is kissing scene, and then love scene. I feel awkward, but okay naman," paliwanag ni Sam, na unang nakatrabaho si Angel sa isang episode ng Maalaala Mo Kaya. SUCCESSFUL CONCERT. Masayang ibinalita ni Sam na sa kabila ng global crisis ay naging very successful pa rin ang series of shows ng Heartthrobs—with Piolo Pascual, Bea Alonzo, Pokwang, and John Lloyd Cruz—in Canada at ibang bahagi ng U.S. "Very successful lahat ng shows. I can say na hindi affected yung concerts namin ng global crisis. Nagulat nga ako sa dami ng tao, especially in Reno [Nevada], completely soldout, dinagdagan pa nila ng extra seats kasi super soldout. Ang daming tao like sa Edmonton, Toronto, New Jersey, Vancouver, Texas..." Kung may ilang artista ang inirereklamo dahil sa pagiging suplado o suplada at hindi man lang daw nagpapa-picture, isa si Sam sa pinupuri at paborito ng mga kababayan natin sa ibang bansa dahil napaka-accommodating at approachable daw nito. "Bumaba ako ng stage to be with people, especially dun sa mga gustong magpa-picture. Siyempre, if people say something good about me, it makes me feel good. I don't want them to think na suplado o mayabang ako. Sana walang ganung stuff or anything," sabi ni Sam. ANNE CURTIS. Bagamat matagal-tagal na rin mula nang mag-break sila ni Anne Curtis ay hindi pa rin maiwasang kumustahin kay Sam ang dating girlfriend. Sam naman is honest to admit na wala na talaga silang gaanong communication ngayon ni Anne. "For a long, long time, hindi kami nakapag-usap. We just got busy with our own lives. We don't have taping anymore, we're not together anymore. We have a little communication, we say hi and hello every time we see each other in ASAP," sabi ni Sam. Sa ngayon, ayaw raw muna niyang pumasok sa panibagong pakikipagrelasyon. "'Yan ang plano ko, ayokong mag-date, ayokong manligaw. Busy din ako, super busy. Basta ako, I'm just waiting for the right person."

The "dyosa" of Philippine television Anne Curtis is all set to make her primetime TV comeback as she topbills the light romance teleserye /The Wedding,/ which will soon air on ABS-CBN. A fter portraying a goddess in the fantaserye /Dyosa/, Anne will soon appear as a girl who is dreaming about the day when she will finally walk down the aisle as a bride. When PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) talked with Anne Curtis during her recent pictorial at the ABS-CBN compound, she said that her character Candice De Menes is actually a spoiled brat who manipulates people so she can get what she wants. "Isa siyang spoiled brat na may pangarap na wedding. In love siya sa concept ng wedding...ever since bagets siya she's the flower girl, naging bridesmaid hanggang sa madami na din nanligaw. But then eventually her parents, will have a problem and when they separate, maghahanap siya ng way na magreconcile yung parents niya." She is paired with two leading men in this original TV series: Derek Ramsay and Zanjoe Marudo. Anne laughingly recalls that she had some difficulty getting /Dyosa /out of her system. "Minsan nga nagkakamali ako kasi di ba si Zanjoe kasama ko sa /Dyosa/," narrates Anne. "Mars yung pangalan niya dun. Marlon siya dito pero minsan natatawag ko siyang Mars so cut na agad yun. Nasasabi ko na lang, ?Candice ka na hindi ka si Dyosa.'" The actress further described her character Candice by saying, "Naghahanap ako ng way na magreconcile yung parents ko so gagamitin ko siya [Marlon]. Nakakatawa yung character ko dito, in fairness hindi siya yung typical na pasweet, maldita talaga siya, spoiled brat na gagawin lahat pero hindi naman sa lahat maiintindihan mo kung bakit niya ginagawa itong mga bagay na ?to." /The Wedding /is helmed by multi-awarded director Jeffrey Jetturian. *SYNOPSIS.* In this new TV series, Anne plays the role of Candice De Menes, a loving daughter who will do everything to prevent her parents from separating. Sam Milby wasn’t able to attend the presscon of Only You since he just got back from a successful concert tour of the Heartthrobs in the US with Piolo Pascual, John Lloyd Cruz, Bea Alonzo and Pokwang. ABS-CBN.com bumped into Sam sa ASAP ’09 and he was accommodating enough to answer questions. “Successful ang concert namin doon, lalo na sa New Jersey at sa Illinois, ang daming pinoy talaga.” People also gave positive comments about Sam for being the most accommodating among the artists at siya ang pinagkaguluhan ng fans. Any comment about that? “Ah, yeah? Kasi, whenever people approach me naman for pa-picture or autograph signing, I give it to them. Kaya siguro sinasabi nilang ganoon ako.” On the other hand, Sam feels excited and thrilled with Only You, dahil ito ang una niyang project na hindi heavy drama. Sabi pa ni Sam, gusto rin daw ng direktor nilang si Rory Quintos that he’d veer away muna from his heavy drama characters, very timely naman ang Only You, magaan at kilig ang dating ng istorya nila ni Angel. Tinanong din ng ABS-CBN.com si Sam kung totoo bang nagkaroon ng ‘ilang factor’ sa pagitan nila ni Angel nu’ng ginagawa nila ang eksenang may kissing scene? Agad namang napangiti si Sam at sinabing hindi siya nailang kay Angel, “It’s just that, unang raw pa lang ‘yun ng taping namin at ‘yun na agad ang kinunang scene. So, parang nakakagulat lang.” Second time na raw niyang maka-trabaho si Angel pero ito ang unang seryeng pagsasamahan nila. Sa Maalaala Mo Kaya sila unang nagkasama ni Angel at magaang naman daw makatrabaho ito. Samantala, tinanong naman namin si Sam kung kamusta ang puso niya ngayon? Prangkang sinabi ni Papa Sam, wala pa ring kapalit si Anne Curtis sa buhay niya, he’s not even dating anyone at the moment. Is he aware of Anne’s plans that she’s taking a vacation somewhere in Europe? “Oh, yes, I heard about that.” For now, Sam enjoys being unattached. It’s not that takot daw siyang magmahal muli, kaya lang ayaw lang daw muna ni Sam na makipag-relasyon. “No, it’s not that I’m afraid to fall in love again or what. It’s just that I want to enjoy things for now.”
