For the second part of Anne Curtis’s interview during the press conference of Babe I Love You last March 17, she admitted that she had second thoughts about doing the film when it was first offered to her because of her romantic past with Sam Milby. “To be honest? Yes. Hahaha! Siyempre nandun yung fear to work with him again. But more than anything, at that time, [I realized that] we owe it to our fans talaga who waited so long. Kasi kami ni Sam, it's really a love-hate relationship. Parang yun din ang nakikita [ng ibang tao]. So just to clarify yung whole cold war namin noon, it was true. Hindi talaga kami nagpapansinan nung una. But pinagsakto lang talaga na the journey through the shooting of the movie helped us to patch things up personally,” she explained.

If not for director Mae Cruz’s guidance and understanding, she and Sam wouldn’t be able to settle their differences and reach the kind of closeness that they have now. “We have Direk Mae to thank for helping us out in the personal department para matuloy yung movie. And it came out well talaga. I think it’s a blessing that this project came into our lives kasi at least Sam and I are okay now and have started on a clean slate na rin. Hindi na kami enemies,” she added with a laugh. Their real-life dilemmas are similar to the conflicts in Babe I Love You, which is why Anne can easily identify with her character Sasa. “I think this movie napaka-true to life kasi ganon din yung character ko, ayaw niya din ng expecations. But of course along the road, that can only get you so far din so bahala na.”

A lot of people believe that the two are officially together again just by looking at their knowing smiles and body language. But Anne denied this by saying that it has been a long time since they said I love you to each other. “Hindi pa kami nagsabihan ng ganon off screen. Siyempre it’s not something na [you say to a person just for the heck of it]. Hindipa kasi right time e. Siguro if the right time comes, if it happens, buong-buo ko sasabihin. Pero as of now, clean slate, fresh start, we'll see what happens, and day by day no expectations. Ganon yung thinking namin ni Sam. Ang haba pa ng buhay. Basta we both admitted to each other that we'll never close our doors,” she stressed.

Anne was open enough to admit to the entertainment press that she will cherish her feelings for the heartthrob even if they don’t end up with each other. “Like Sam said, he was also yung talagang nagbigay todo [ng pagmamahal nung kami pa] and it's not something you can forget. The stories and the experiences na pinagdaanan namin, yun yung iku-kwento mo sa mga anak mo. ‘Alam mo ba nung bagets ako, yung mga away kong ganito, ganito yung na-experience ko at this age.’ Those are stories you will continue to tell for the rest of your lives. Siyempre sa pinagdaanan namin ni Sam, he's someone that I’ll always and forever love in that kind of way. Hindi na kaya maulit yung ganon e,” she finally stated.
