Anne, Sam start on clean slate
MANILA, Philippines - One of the country's popular love teams, Anne Curtis and Sam Milby, shared their excitement over their first film project, "Babe, I Love You", under Star Cinema.
In an interview on Monday during a pictorial for the film, Ann and Sam said it was a nice feeling to again work together, this time on the big screen, after their 3 television series on ABS-CBN.
"Yeah, it's our very first movie. Exciting and very happy," said Sam, Anne's former boyfriend.
"We are both excited kasi ang huli namin was 'Dyosa' which was a year ago na," Anne added.
In the movie, Sam plays the role of a professor while Anne portrays a promo girl.
For the first time, Sam said moviegoers will see him doing a fight scene on the big screen.
"First time ko being a teacher, at parang mayabang siya dahil matalino siya. Marunong siyang mag-taekwondo, he is a black-belter. So may fight scene. Something that I never did sa TV or sa movie...Sobrang proud ako," the actor said.
Anne said she also has a love scene with Sam in the movie. "Oo, may love scene, magsho-shoot pa lang."
Being good friends, Sam and Anne said they are happy and comfortable working together.
Asked if there was chance for them to rekindle their romance, Sam said: "We are two people na nag-e-enjoy lang kami, day-by-day thing."
Anne, who got a Kindle as a birthday gift from Sam, added: "Day by day...ang maganda lang ay clean slate."
Under the direction of Mae Czarina Cruz, "Babe, I Love You" is set to hit theaters nationwide on Black Saturday (April 3).
